Warner Brothers has chosen 32 yrs old Blade: Trinity hunk Ryan Reynolds as he will be playing the title character of DC Comic Hero, ‘Green Lantern‘, reported by Variety. The character ‘Green Lantern’ is created by Bill Finger & Martin Nodell for DC Comics back in 1940s.

Early this friday, the studio held two rounds of screen test for the actors, Bradley Cooper, Jared Leto, while Justin Timberlake was also there for a screen test. But fortunately, the role of the superhero character went to Ryan Reynolds.

The movie has been set to be directed by Martin Campbell & will also expected to begin filming in Jaunuary next year of 2009.

Ryan Reynolds has married actress Scarlett Johansson back in the year of 2008 last year.

Hopefully Reynolds will be a huge breakout star for this role next year. He will definitely plays as a cool superhero as the ‘Green Lantern’. Good Luck, Reynolds!
