Ashlee Simpson is in talks to create a Michael Jackson cover album but it seems Simpson’s father Joe thinks it would be a brilliant idea to have his youngest pop star daughter sing Michael Jackson songs on a cover album.
Ashlee dad, Joe Simpson is pitching the idea to music executives – so it’s certainly not confirmed yet.
Update: Ashlee Simpson’s publicist Rhett Usry tells EW: “The [rumors] are completely not true…Honestly I don’t know where they’re from. This completely fabricated story is very disrespectful to Michael Jackson at a time like this, regardless of whose name you’re putting it to. Furthermore, she’s in the middle of shooting Melrose Place.“
